Cloudy, and it started rain. Today, I went to get Taco's for base side of Yokota AB for lunch. Before that, I took a walk for opposite way from the main gate of the base. Only one fens divides the base and ordinary Japanese houses. It’s only a few meters from the houses to the fence. Means to the military facility, so close.
I had hoped to find the house and studio where musician Eiichi Ohtaki once lived, but since it’s a private residence, there was virtually no information available about the location, so today’s walk turned to just hanging around.
There used to be many U.S. military housing units in this area, known as "American Houses." A few still remain today and are used as residences, shops or restaurants.
